City of Fort Worth Drop-Off Pilot Program
In partnership with the City of Fort Worth, we service 15 drop-off locations across Fort Worth for food scraps only. Available to Fort Worth residents only for a small, 1-time subscription fee. Weekly Doorstep Collection Program
How it Works
Cowboy Compost will provide you with our locking and lined 6-gallon bin and weekly collection service from your address. Just like your curbside garbage and recycling collection!
We also provide bagged finished compost to our residential subscribers for a 30% discount and free delivery, and we deliver one complimentary 0.75cuft bag every year to each of our subscribers for Earth Day.
There is a $15 enrollment fee, and we charge $7 per-pick-up for your first bin. Your bin features a locking lid and liner to keep it clean. Our collection process includes sanitizing your bin after each collection.
Most of our subscribers only need one bin, but additional bins are available for an extra $1.50 per pick-up. We are available to help you adjust the number of bins you need at any time, and special collection options are provided each year for pumpkins, Christmas trees, etc.
We can accept all food scraps as well as food-soiled paper such as paper towels and certified compostable items. Please see our WHAT GOES INTO THE BIN page for more details.
Houses, apartment, and condos, are all eligible. We currently serve the Fort Worth area (please see the map above), although our program is flexible and we encourage you to share your address with us in order to assess eligibility.
